BIOGRAPHy

Michael began playing at The Alyth Golf Club from the age of 5, where he spent his entire amateur career.

At the age of 14 he finished 4th in the Douglas Gillespie Scottish under 16's championship,  resulting in being selected for Scottish squad coaching. 

His consistent performances over the next 4 years culminated in selection to represent his country in the boys home international's in 1997 at Royal North Devon (Westward Ho) golf club.

Michael completed his PGA training at Alyth, working under Tom Melville.

Since graduating he has competed on the Tartan Tour with some notable achievement's:-

Brechin invitational pro am - won 2007, 2008

Midlands alliance champion- 2008

Insch assistants pro am- won 2009

British pairs final- 3 times

British assistant's championship- T20 finish

Michael developed his teaching skills by conducting Senior-Ladies and Junior group coaching, plus individual lessons from beginner's to International level golfers.

In 2013 Michael earned a certificate in golf psychology in coaching to help improve the approach during his lessons, plus help his players improve they're approach to the game mentally.
